Life is Good

Just wanted to make a quick update post. Life's good. Jessica still has her moments, but she's also doing great. Better than great in fact. After a not so fun day of potty training (I don't even want to admit how long we've been at this), I decided we needed a new approach. So off we went to good old Wal-Mart where we bought a step-stool and one of those potty seats that sits on the big toilet. Up until now she's just had a little training chair. She is IN LOVE with this new thing! Never before would she even tell us when she needed to go. Now we find her in there taking care of it all by herself! I wouldn't pretend we're perfect, but no wet accidents since the new chair. She's only in a diaper/Pull-up overnight now. The only problem? New baby coming ... can anyone say "regression?" Let's hope she adjusts great. Anyways, just wanted to say that life is good.

Something new (even a potty seat) is always exciting! Glad potty training is going well. Regression is natural; if it happens, she'll get over it quick.

Good luck! Clark regressed a little after Tingen was born. He'd been potty trained for about 2 months maybe. The regression only lasted a couple of weeks though, so it's not too bad.

Soren just finally got potty trained...he is 3.5 years old so you can only guess how long we have been trying. He just didn't get it. we tried everything. took him every 15 minutes...no luck! He just didn't know how or why to go outside his diaper. He had never done it before. Not even when I would change his diaper would he pee on me...not once!!!! the other day he had an accident in the bathtub while the water was drained...I don't know if it was like a light bulb went on. "oh, so thats how it works" but yesterday he woke up and just went by himself all day...both number 1 and #2 (which he had never ever gone in the toilet before) it was amazing...he went all day. We weren't even working on it or anything...he just decided he could do it. its amazing!!!!

I have no experience in potty training, but I just wanted to say that I think you are doing a great job! Jessica is so cute and you seem like such a good mom. Good luck with it!
