Update

Here's what we've been up to since I posted last (yes, I'm a terrible blogger).

Congratulations to Adam and Stephanie! Beautiful wedding and I'm so happy the Idaho Falls girls are representing in the Hales family!

While we were on our trip out west for the wedding, we gave the kids the "How We Met" tour of BYU. Here we are in our seats for our New Testament class where we met.

We felt like experiencing mountains would be an important part of any trip away from the Florida swamps, so we did a few hikes while we were in Utah. We hiked the Emerald Pools in Zion National Park, which also happens to be the hike where Michael proposed. It was fun sharing this beautiful place with our kids.

Back to reality after our fun trip.
First day of school for these cuties!
Jessica - 3rd Grade. Chandler - Kindergarten.

We took advantage of the still beautiful weather and spent an afternoon at a local splash pad. Ben and Danny were in heaven.

Our precious Jessica made the decision to be baptized. I am so proud of her and I could tell she was ready. She is my angel.

After some drier than normal months, the rain returned with a vengeance.  The kids thought that having a "party in the water" was the perfect way to spend the afternoon. I love watching kids just be kids.

Chandler started T-ball this fall. He's been working hard and in his last game he earned the game ball. Good job Chan!

Danny is getting way too big way too fast. He's talking up a storm and his most recent trick is eating with a spoon. It's a work in progress. ;)

When we first moved to Orlando three years ago, BYU announced that they would be playing the local team (UCF) in 2014. That seemed forever away and I never really expected that we would still be here. Last week the game rolled around. Michael's dad was able to fly out for the game also. Despite a heart-breaking overtime loss, it was a really fun game.

Just before our trip out west we dived back into the world of home-ownership. Details and pictures for another post. We decided to plant a "new house tree." Here is our cute little fig tree. And who knows, maybe someday we'll have grandkids over sneaking fruit while they're here for a visit. I'm excited for our future!

Photo Dump

I give up trying to update as often as I'd like. Here's what we've been up to the last couple months.

Chandler's preschool class visited the planetarium.

We went on a few fun family outings, including a homemade scavenger hunt and a trip to a local pottery studio. The kids loved decorating their bowls.

Ben spent a lot of time getting really messy. :)

Sweet Jessica

My silly Benjamin

In April, Michael's mom came to visit. It was so great to have her here. One of the things we did was drive down to Ft Lauderdale for the new temple open house. It was beautiful and we're so excited to have another temple in Florida.

We decorated Easter eggs.

Danny is growing up and we're not too happy about it. :)

Michael is growing up too. :) 33 on April 24th.
Happy birthday Love!
(and thanks Debra for the awesome cake! Best gift ever.)

Chandler finished up preschool. :(
What is happening to everyone getting so old!? This is Chandler with his teachers, Mrs. Shepherd and Mrs. Gibson. I won't post pics of Chan with the other kids in his class, but they are all cuties!

Laura and Danny went to LA for an annual "Girl's Weekend" that Michael's mom throws.
So fun! She goes ALL OUT! We have a yearly theme ("under the sea" this year) and things are decorated to perfection. We ate (a ton!), threw a bridal shower for my future sister (yay!), shopped, and even went stand-up paddle boarding (which was crazy-fun). Thanks for an amazing weekend Melody!

Jessica's class did their end of year presentation. Jessica read some stories and poems she'd read. It's been a great year.

The next day she ran her first 5K with Laura. 31.40. Amazing for a seven year old!

Finally, Chandler and Ben got their summer buzz-cuts. Ben was not very excited about the idea. :) Hopefully they'll be happier now in the FL heat.

Well, if you're still reading this then you're impressive. No promises on how long it'll be for the next update. :)
