I have been SO excited for this day to come! Jessica had her first day of dance/tumbling today. I spent the whole morning kind of nervous for the whole experience. I'm not sure why though - Jessica was in HEAVEN the entire time. Total perma-smile. She started off with tumbling. They did a lot of jumping around and shaking and stretching. She was a pro at the floor-level balance beam (makes sense seeing how she's been climbing on things since she was born). Here's some of that fun shaking/warming up: (Sorry about the quality. It was taken through a window).
Right after her tumbling class she has a combo (jazz, tap, ballet) class. We kept going back and forth on what to have her do and Jessica's only answer was, "Let's do both!" This studio caters to just that and has those two classes for her age group back to back. I'm super glad we chose to do both classes. Dance was equally entertaining. They stretched, practiced how to stand, did some moves holding the bar, and as you see here, they practiced walking on tip-toes. So cute.
Jessica LOVES her teacher, Miss Nancy. I think the fact that Miss Nancy gave her a band-aid sealed the deal, seeing how Jessica loves band-aids. (She skinned her knee on the way through the parking lot). The whole ride home all I heard (in a whiny voice) was, "I wish I could go back to dance class. I want to see Miss Nancy again."
I am so excited for this coming year!

She is so cute. I can't wait until Lily does dance class.
How funny! The look of awe and admiration on Jessica's face is priceless. And she is a total ham, but we already knew that ;)
Hi Laura,
As usual, I love reading about your kids...
Jessica is adorable, as usual.
How did Chandler do. Did he like watching big sister?
What a darling ballerina. Love her outfit.
Oh my that is adorable!! I'm looking into dance classes right now for Ella. She tells everyone she's a ballerina. I guess I need to take the hint :) I LOVE Jessica's little dance outfit sooo sweet.
That's funny that Jessica is the only brunette there. Idaho's version of diversity?
Oh, she looks SO darling in her little leotard and tutu!
We need to re-plan our get together since it didn't work out last time. :)
