I'm a little bit of a weirdo :)

My credit card gives us points (c'mon, if yours doesn't, you're using the wrong kind). Any-whoo! My points accrue until I get a lovely little gift certificate to Amazon.com. That's practically as good as cash, right? Sounds great and all, but I don't think my certificates have ever been used for anything other than textbooks for Michael. I'm not complaining - it's just been a fact of life that we've had to be thrifty during our marriage. It's not like thrift is going out the window or anything now, but I actually got to use my certificate for something fun this time! Hooray! Want to know what I got? OK, some of you may actually agree with me that this is a fun thing. The rest of you will just roll your eyes and go, "Laura, you really are a weirdo." But you already knew that right? OK, I'm really rambling. I just talk fast when I'm excited (and apparently type fast too). Here's what I got:

Are you jealous? You totally should be. Maybe a lot of you out there have more natural skill when it comes to housekeeping and all that. But I really struggle sometimes to keep things as clean as I should. I'm more of a tidy/straighten person rather than a scrub and mop kind of person. I really need to work on that. Poor Michael has been so patient. Actually, any of you who are aware of Michael's post-Hondo germ phobia know that I'm the patient one. :) Just kidding babe... kind of. Sorry, rambling again. So yeah, I'm VERY excited about this book. Maybe now I'll be the clean freak of Michael's dreams, or at least I'll know how to be.

So you know how I've mentioned lately that I have this thing with storage and organization stuff? I came across a few thing the other day on this cool blog that just made me happy and jealous at the same time.

First is her super organized and beautiful pantry. Everything is just labeled so nice and pretty. Forget flowers and jewelry Michael, my love, just get me a label-maker. Just kidding. OK, no, I'm really not kidding. I think I would giggle with glee if I got one. Like I said, weirdo. You can also look at the picts I have in the "pantry" section of my home-ideas blog.

And then she just organized her closets. (Sorry about the Jillian Michaels pict). Why is it so cool to me to have all the hidden spaces look fabulous? Not sure. But oh do I ever love it. Someday...

Michael is probably a little disappointed that I blogged without posting any pictures of the kiddos he hasn't seen in weeks. So here you are babe. By the way, I miss you sooooo much! And I love you lots and lots and lots!

You know, I'd like to read that book. (But then would I be held accountable??)

Mel, absolutely you would be held accountable after "knowing" and then just disregarding it, better to be left in the dark.
The kids are darling. I love looking at their pictures.

I totally get you! I recently bought a book off Amazon.com called "Clean your house and everything in it". I've been reading it non-stop for a couple of days and just LOVE it! (I'm more of a pick up and straighten kind of girl too.) Plus, my dream home has enough hidden storage space to have everything organized and pretty in all the hidden and public spaces too. Not likely to happen until the kids are grown though. :)
