It's hard to say goodbye

Have any of you noticed that Michael and I tend to get rid of stuff rather frequently? In fact we just got rid of all of our personal belongings except two carloads this past summer. That was hard. This school year we've done without a lot. .We spent 6 months with only a $50 Wal-Mart futon for our couch (until our kind home teacher and his wife gave us their old couches). We are sleeping on an air mattress (that was not fun during my last trimester of being pregnant). We've made due without a microwave. We eat on a card table with folding chairs. Our walls our almost entirely bare (minus a framed copy of "The Living Christ" I made at Super Saturday). I only have three pairs of heels here for crying out loud!! :) I've told Michael that once we move after graduation we are never again allowed to have a major purge of stuff. But the end of the semester is getting closer (2 months until graduation!!) and that means that the final purge has begun. Obviously this purge will be much more subdued than the others since we have so little already. But Michael decided that the TV was probably worth more sold than stored for two years (we're staying at my parent's place while they go on a mission). It sold today. We actually sold it for close to what we originally paid, which is nice. As the buyers packed it up and carried it away, poor Jessica was trying to hard to be brave. I could tell she was holding back tears. Poor thing. Michael had to console her for a few minutes and let her know that we could still watch movies on the computer.

I'm afraid I didn't get a picture of me having to console Michael a few minutes later once reality hit him. :) I'm actually really looking forward to life without TV. We were never really big TV people until we got this TV and cable. I'm sure we'll get much more done now.

And I just had to post a few more pictures of little Chan-Man. He is just a cutie!

I'm proud of you. I think I'd have a really hard time letting go of something so new and expensive. It's also really easy to use TV more than we should.

Oh, and you're right. Your little boy us such a cutie!

You guys are an inspiration to us all. That is awesome you get to stay at your parents house. We will have to come up and visit.

It doesn't look like Chan-Man will miss the TV.

I admire your financial decision making. . .
