We're doing the blog thing!

With members of our family all over the country, we decided we needed to help everyone stay updated on what's going on in our lives right now. First off, a little bit about our family.

Michael is in his first year of law school at the University of San Diego. He's enjoying his classes, but finals are coming up, so it's getting more stressful. But we have a great internship in Idaho Falls this summer at a law firm. It will be an excellent opportunity. Michael's favorite pasttime is definitelly being Jessica's playmate. She's always looking for him and he can get her to giggle when no one else can. His favorite time of the day is coming home to his family.

Laura is loving being a mom. She feels pretty lucky to have her full time job be playing with a sweet girl like Jessica. She just ran a "Mud Run" with some friends from church. So fun! The race was a 5K through mud pits and obstacles. But now she gets a break from running since her shoes were irrecoverable after the race. One of her favorite things to do is walk/run to campus and have lunch with Michael a few times a week. She's been loving scrapbooking not only Jessica's baby book, but also the family scrapbook.

Jessica was born August 21, 2006 - on Michael's first day of law school. She has been a little angel ever since. She's loving trying new foods, which include rice, barley, and oatmeal cereal, carrots, peas, yams, avocado, applesauce, and plums. She's still working on the crawling thing. We bet she'll have it down before we leave for Idaho this summer. She loves playing peek-a-boo, chewing on everything, going on walks, giggling, playing in the pool, and she adores her pink Nalgene sippy cup her Aunt Karen gave her. She's learning so much everyday and is definitelly getting her own personality.
